Often with tee shirt transfers there is a a yellowish hue around the printing. This is caused by the coating on the transfer paper that bonds the ink to the shirt.

A good tee shirt printer will trim away this excess but even more importantly will have a printer/t-shirt transfer combination that when the tee shirt is printed the unprinted parts are essentially transparent and don't have this problem.

A heat press is a machine designed specifically for custom tee shirt printing. The heat press that I and several other commercial tee shirt printers use permits the temperature, time and pressure to be set. This gives a perfect press time after time.

It is to be noted that the transfer paper used by professional tee shirt makers need to be applied with a commercial heat press. The supplies that you'll need to make your custom printed t-shirts in addition to a computer and a printer, obviously will be t-shirts. You'll likely want to use 100% cotton t-shirts that are preshrunk or 50/50 tee shirts.

A few days ago, I walked into a Torrid store for the very first time. I'd never heard of Torrid so I hurriedly looked up the store and browsed their clothing selection online, but I'd never actually been in the store until the other day when I happened to see it at the mall.

I love, love, love this store!! In Torrid, I'm a size 2! Yes! In all other clothing stores, I'm a 16-18 or an x-tra large (sometimes an x-tra, x-tra large). Not in Torrid! In Torrid I'm a smaller size than I've ever been in my life! Whoever thought up this sizing system was a genius. The second best part is the clothes! There are cute little plaid skirts and jeans alongside beautiful dresses, skirts and slacks. If you're a young (or young at heart) girl who's tired of wearing the same old, unflattering styles that your typical store provides for a woman with curves, check out Torrid!
